Sci-Fit L-Tyrosine Each bottle of Sci-Fit L-Tyrosine contains 100 capsules. Sci-Fit’s L-Tyrosine is a protein amino acid, that is classified as conditionally essential, meaning that the body under normal circumstances produces enough L-Tyrosine, but there are circumstances under which supplementation can become necessary. L-Tyrosine is involved in protein synthesis, moreover it is a precursor to the synthesis of catecholamines epinephrine, norepinephrine and dopamine, the thyroid hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine and the pigment melanin. L-Tyrosine has a putative antidepressant effect. This effect may be accounted for in the role L-Tyrosine plays in the synthesis of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine and dopamine. Elevated norepinephrine and dopamine levels are associated with antidepressant effects. Each Sci-Fit L-Tyrosine capsule contains 500 mgs.
